Ghorakhal Golu Devta is also known as Ghanti wala Mandir or The god of justice or The Temple of Wishes. The temple is beautifully situated on the top of Ghorakhal Hill near Sainik School, Ghorakhal. This temple is located about 15 km from the Mall, Nainital. The entry to the temple is free and one has to climb stairs (moderate) to reach the temple. The temple is decorated with thousands of bells and prayers written on plain papers, legal bond papers, beautiful colourful sheets, job application forms. At this place, the devotees not only come with prayers but with physical piece of paper on which wishes are written by the worshipers. On completion of wishes worshipers tie bells in the temple. Highly recommended visiting this place if visiting Nainital or Bhimtal.

let me tell you about the 'Temple of Wishes.' It's a special place where you go to make a wish, tie it up with a knot, and, once your wishes come true, you come back to hang a bell.I wholeheartedly recommend visiting it in person. It's incredible to see how seriously people take this tradition. And for a more enjoyable trip, I suggest going by bike. This way, you can stop along the way, enjoy the beautiful views, and truly connect with the atmosphere.

Ghorakhal Golu Devta is (the god of justice). The temple is beautifully situated on the top of Ghorakhal Hill overlooking the Bhimtal lake. The Ghorakhal Golu Devta Temple had idols of many other gods goddesses and is decorated with thousands or millions of bells. In this place, the devotees come with prayers, not only with devotion but with a physical piece of paper. These are left in the Ghorakhal Golu Devta temple. Visitors can see the plain papers, legal bond papers, beautiful colorful sheets, to even some job application forms, and hang here. Hidden Gem💎 of Kumaon🏞

This is the most incredible temple I've ever visited in my life. There are no words to describe the amazingness of the experience one experiences on visiting this temple. The diety of this temple is Golajya Dev or Golu Devta, who is believed to be a deliverer of Justice. People come here to pray Golajya devta to deliver justice to them if some court case has been running against them for years or to remove obstacles from their lives. They hang a bell with or without their written plea to the poles of this temple. They come back with a larger bell if their plea is accepted and justice is delivered. Bells (starting from ₹30 and in brass alloy) are available on shops outside this temple. This temple is located about 15 km from the Mall, Nainital and the road leading to the temple is good until Bhowali, but the last 3-4 km are in a shabby condition. The entry to this temple is free and is located on a hill top near Sainik School, Ghorakhal. One has to climb some 100 stairs (moderate difficulty) to reach the temple. I will definitely recommend visiting this place if one is in Nainital.

A beautiful temple in a surreal place. The temple is for the deity Golu Devta God of justice. You can see Millions of small and big bells tied in the temple with letters from people who wish to seek some legal relief from the God. It has stairs leading to the temple and a beautiful view of ghorakhal from above. A must visit in this area 🙏
